§ 20-30. Signs required where state law prohibits smoking; fire extinguishers required.

  • The owner, lessee or other person in charge of a public primary or secondary school or an elevator, enclosed theater or movie house, library, museum, hospital, transit system bus, or intrastate bus, or any facility, conveyance or place described in V.T.C.A., Penal Code § 48.01(a), commits an offense if he fails to prominently display a reasonably sized notice in the conveyance or place that smoking is prohibited by state law and punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00 or if he fails to have the conveyance or place equipped with facilities for extinguishments of smoking materials.
