§ 12-53. Appointment; term.

The judge of the municipal court shall be appointed by the town council. He shall serve a term of two (2) years, coinciding with the term of office of the mayor. The initial appointment, if not coinciding with the term of the mayor, shall be only until the next term of mayor at which time the position shall be open for reappointment or new appointment.
